BWW Previews: EVIL DEAD, THE MUSICAL at Bootless Stageworks

Bootless not only knows how to put on a great show, but it also knows how to get the most splatter on the willing audience members choosing to sit in what's known as The Pit Splatter Zone (it's called The Pit because it involves boxed seating with a pond liner). If you've never been to a Bootless summer horror musical, then you're missing out on a ton of fun compliments of a very energetic corp of singing and dancing zombies.

Five college students spend the weekend in an abandoned cabin in the woods, accidentally unleashing an evil terror. In this comedic take on 1980's horror franchise, characters and demons sing and dance to songs written specifically for the musical. And, as in the films, Ash is there to dish out his various one liners and fight the never ending demons. The musical takes creative liberty with the plot line of the movies, mixing together the characters and concepts of all three films, as well as changing sequences for the sake of the stage and comedic intent. But trust that every bit of groovy Evil Dead humor is there for full enjoyment.

Tickets went on sale June 1st. Evil Dead, The Musical, as well as Bootless' other bloody summer shows usually sell out before opening night. So, it's best if you dont wait and get your tickets now.
