Victoria Theatre Association begins 2010 presenting another fabulous Universal 1 Variety Series production--Buckets and Tap Shoes, Friday January 29, 2010 at 7:30 PM in the historic Victoria Theatre.

Buckets and Taps Shoes is made up of a unique and utterly brilliant company of musicians, percussionists and rhythm tap dancers who will astound audiences by creating intense driving rhythms with five-gallon buckets, metal cans, barrels, and other found objects - not to mention tap shoes. Buckets and Taps Shoes brings the creativity and spontaneity of street performing to the stage with amazing and exhilarating results. If you like STOMP, you're going to love Buckets and Tap Shoes.

Called, "Utterly brilliant... [Buckets and Tap Shoes] are virtuoso percussive players on, yes, buckets, and extraordinary tap dancers, as capable of channeling hip-hop as Astaire-like suavity," (New York Times). Buckets and Tap Shoes showcases "American-style street sounds" (New York Post) that brings the audience to their feet-and onto the stage. These multi-talented dancers and musicians create a high-energy performance that has astounded world-wide audiences.

Bucket and Tap Shoes is how tap is meant to be- energetic, honest, happy, amazing. Buckets and Tap Shoes is the brainchild of Rick and Andy Ausland, who have a passion for rhythm and lots of it, including maniacal tap and hard-hitting buckets, funky guitars, thumpin' bass and a solid back beat. Its premiere at the 2004 Minnesota Fringe Festival was a huge success earning them "Best of Fringe 2004" and "Best Dance Performance of 2005" by the City Pages.

Don't miss this opportunity to understand "the rhythm thing!" Tickets start at $27!
