Victoria Theatre Announces Young at Heart Family Series Darwin the Dinosaur 4/10, 4/11

Victoria Theatre Association presents the final production of the 2009-2010 Young At Heart Family Series with the award-winning Corbian Visual Arts & Dance: Darwin the Dinosaur, April 10 and 11 at the historic Victoria Theatre. Performance times are 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day.

Corbian Visual Arts and Dance combines the telling of a heart-rending story with a truly unique and innovative theater experience where electroluminescent crayon-like creatures light up the stage in a blackout setting. Featuring a big-hearted, glow-in-the-dark dinosaur, Darwin is an incredible combination of music, puppetry and artistic movements are brought to life through a dazzling display of lovable characters along with a mix of modern technology. A breathtaking visual display, Darwin is a unique, glow-in-the-dark experience you and your family are sure to enjoy.

CORBIAN LLC is a theatrical company created for the purpose of entertainment and education. The creators, performers and teachers of CORBIAN are dedicated to entertaining using new, interesting and often-simple theatrical methods and materials. Their production of Darwin is sure to be a performance audiences will talk about long after the show ends.

Plan to arrive early for fun activities!

Crafts activities begin one hour before each performance both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, April 10 Schuster Center Broadway Children's Choir will perform on the Victoria stage approximately half an hour before the 1PM and the 3:30PM performances of Darwin. The student group - sponsored by The Dayton Power and Light Company foundation - will perform selections from Fame, Wicked, Billy Elliot, the hit Fox series Glee and the Disney film Enchanted.

Tickets for Darwin the Dinosaur are priced at a family friendly $17 for adults and $15 for children (ages 12 and under). Tickets are on sale now through Ticket Center Stage, and may be purchased at the Schuster Center box office in downtown Dayton or by phone, at (937) 228-3630 or toll free (888) 228-3630. Ticket Center Stage hours are Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, noon - 4 p.m., and two hours prior to each performance. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.ticketcenterstage.com.
