Victoria Theatre Association presents Mid-Day Arts Café, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in the Mathile Theatre at the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center.  April's Mid-Day Arts Café highlights FilmDayton, a regional non-profit organization that promotes the art, craft and business of filmmaking in the region.

April's Mid-Day Arts Café features a look at the creative work and development of FilmDayton, and how they are helping with the growth of the next generation of filmmakers and film lovers.  Filmmaker and journalist Aileen LeBlanc and composers Michael & Sandy Bashaw will talk about their collaborative process within FilmDayton, including how Aileen uses music to propel the arc of her stories, how the Bashaws create the appropriate sound and music and how they blend their elements into the final product. The Bashaws will share clips of Take Us Home along with unreleased versions of some of the music written for the film, and describe how the artistic elements change as the work takes shape.
