Victoria Theatre Association presents Mid-Day Arts Café, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in the Mathile Theatre at the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. March's Mid-Day Arts Café highlights VTA's resident company, The Zoot Theatre Company, and their creativity and collaboration of professional acting, masks and puppetry.
March's Mid-Day Arts Café features a look at the development and future projects of Dayton's newest puppet and mask theatre company, Zoot Theatre Company. Outreach Manager Down Roth Smith, Resident Artist Gary Thompson and Artistic Director Tristan Cupp present the story of creating Zoot Theatre Company, how it became a reality and their vision for the next five years. The team will be joined by a few of their puppets to display and demonstrate their use.
Mid-Day Arts Cafe is a series presented by Victoria Theatre Association and offers a variety of performances from locAl Dayton arts groups. In cooperation with the Dayton Opera, Dayton Philharmonic, Muse Machine, Dayton Ballet, Zoot Theatre Company, FilmDayton, and The Human Race Theatre Company, VTA offers the chance for the local community to network with area arts lovers, view sneak peeks of upcoming performances and enjoy the opportunity to get out of the office for an enjoyable lunch time!
