The anticipated coming of The Rapture may not have made it on schedule in May, but it will be on the stage of The Loft Theatre this July. Twenty-one talented teens, working under the aegis of the internationally-acclaimed Lovewell Project and The Human Race, Dayton's own professional theatre company, will be presenting CARRIED AWAY, a musical that's sure to be uplifting.

The Lovewell system fosters a collaborative process that results in an entire musical built from scratch. The teens come up with a concept, create a script, compose the music, design the set and costumes, and produce and perform the play. The results of a Lovewell project are always a small-r revelation, but this year will also be a capital-R Revelation.

This the fourth year The Human Race Theatre has hosted a summer Lovewell project for teens. This year, students from Pittsburgh and Lovewell's home in Fort Lauderdale join local participants from Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Centerville, Convoy, Dayton, Jamestown, Kettering, Oakwood and Xenia.

CARRIED AWAY will presented at The Loft Theatre in downtown Dayton at 8pm Friday, July 8, and 3pm Saturday, July 9. Tickets are available via www.humanracetheatre.org or by calling Ticket Center Stage at (937) 228-3630.

The Lovewell Project is sponsored in part by Ted and Sandy Tozer.
