The Human Race Theatre Company begins the 2013-2014 Eichelberger Loft Season-its 27th season of producing professional theatre in downtown Dayton-with Steven Dietz's hilarious Becky's New Car. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Becky Foster is stuck in neutral-middle aged, in middle management and a middling marriage-until an honest misunderstanding with a wealthy widower offers her the chance at an exciting double life...and she takes it. Now she's frantically juggling to keep her two worlds apart before everything threatens to come crashing down on her. It's enough to drive Becky off a cliff, and she's taking the audience along for the ride!

Dietz, a highly prolific author and one of the most widely produced playwrights in America, was commissioned by Seattle's A Contemporary Theatre to write Becky's New Car in 2008 as a birthday present from one of the theatre's donors to his wife. Since then, the comedy has been delighting audiences on numerous stages from coast to coast.

Director Marya Spring Cordes (Dani Girl, Managing Maxine) leads The Human Race's production with a talented cast of seven actors: Leslie Goddard (Broadway's Hairspray) as "Kenni Flood", Margaret Knapp (Over the Tavern, 2008) as "Becky Foster", Resident Artist Patricia Linhart as "Ginger", Gregory Mallios (August: Osage County, 2010) as "Chris Foster", Jason Podplesky as "Steve", Michael Richey as "Walter Flood" and David Sitler (Broadway's An Inspector Calls) as "Joe Foster".

All performances are at the Metropolitan Art Center's Loft Theatre, located at 126 North Main Street in downtown Dayton, Ohio. Tickets and performance information on Becky's New Car are available at www.humanracetheatre.org or by calling Ticket Center Stage at (937) 228-3630, and at the Schuster Center box office.
