Victoria Theatre Association announces the second Mid-Day Arts Café on October 12, 2010 in the NCR Donor Lounges located on the third floor of the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center.

Mid-Day Arts Café, a monthly collaboration between Victoria Theatre Association and local arts organizations, is held on the second Tuesday of each month and includes informative presentations and performances, lunch and the opportunity to network with the arts community. The October Mid-Day Arts Café will feature a preview from Dayton Opera's upcoming production of Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, opening at the Schuster Center on Saturday, October 23, 2010.

Dayton Opera's Artistic Director Tom Bankston will introduce the 2010-2011 opera season along with a few principal cast members.  The program will feature the Porgy and Bess Chorus as well a "Q & A" segment with Dayton Opera stage director, Gary Biggle.   Attendees will be entered to win two tickets to Dayton Opera's production of Fidelio which will occur in January.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with the Dayton Opera program starting promptly at noon in order to conclude by 1 p.m. Tickets are $12 each, which includes a complete box lunch provided by Citilites Restaurant & Bar.
