A generous, anonymous local supporter of The Human Race Theatre will help the organization close the year in excellent style by offering a $25,000 matching gift between now and December 20, 2010.
"This is great news, for us and for all the friends and supporters of the Human Race Theatre," said Kevin Moore, Executive Director. "This gift means our donors will immediately be able to double the size - and the impact - of their gift."
Gifts can include memberships, corporate sponsorships and foundation grants. Individual memberships start at $45 and include a number of exclusive benefits.
The Human Race has been Dayton's own professional theatre company since 1986. This well-respected organization combines the talent of local artists with outstanding performers from across the country for innovative productions.
Donors are encouraged to make their pledge or gift by December 20, 2010 in order to trigger the matching gift.
"Our audiences are always very generous," said Beth Schaeffer, Board President. "With year-end giving on everyone's mind, our anonymous donor has provided a most generous incentive for both new and annual contributors to double the impact of their gift."
The Human Race is in its 24th season of producing great shows for appreciative Dayton audiences. THE RACE just ended a great run of the hilarious THE 39 STEPS and will be presenting 8-TRACK: THE SOUND OF THE 70's AT its home Loft Theatre beginning December 2.
