Support Victoria Theatre Association's education and outreach programs with a special WICKED event at Barnes & Noble across from the Dayton Mall on October 24, 2009 from 12-2 PM in a celebration of the 70th anniversary of Oz. Patrons may sign up to receive a priority offer to purchase WICKED tickets in advance of the general public, compete in the costume contest, and enjoy story telling and music.

* Come dressed as your favorite WICKED or Wizard of Oz character to win prizes.
* Enjoy show tunes from VTA's vocal ensemble No Intermission.
* Sign up to be on the OnStage eNews e-newsletter list to receive a priority offer to purchase WICKED tickets in advance of the general public.
* Listen to storytelling with Dorothy in Oz and Alice in Wonderland
* Play WICKED trivia for prizes.

10% of all purchases made at this time accompanied by the special VTA bookfair voucher will benefit Victoria Theatre Association's scholarship program for school-age children to attend the Physicians for Kids Discovery Series at a drastically reduced price. Vouchers must be presented at checkout and will be available online at http://www.victoriatheatre.com/wickedbookfair or in hard copy from the November OnStage News print newsletter. VTA subscribers and donors will also receive an e-blast with the voucher included in the email.

Victoria Theatre Association is one of Dayton's premier arts organizations, presenting the Miami Valley and Good Samaritan Hospitals Broadway Series, the Young at Heart Family Series, the Michelob Ultra Cool Films series, Star Attractions, the Universal 1 Variety Series, Key Bank African-American Festival, and the Physicians for Kids Discovery Series, which features curriculum-enhanced live theatre productions for school children. Victoria Theatre Association is proud of its alliance with the Dayton Opera. In addition to the performances it presents, Victoria Theatre Association also manages the historic Victoria Theatre, the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, and the Metropolitan Arts Center, which houses The Loft Theatre. Victoria Theatre Association receives funding from a variety of diverse public, corporate, individual and private sources, including the Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District and the Ohio Arts Council. The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program or organization with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
