Summer Theater Camp Registration is now open!! Dare to Inspire Theater camp is going to be held at a new location this summer. Camp will be held at the brand new Dayton Metro Library Main campus on Third Street. We will have use of a wonderful community room and also be using and performing in The Bassani Theater located in the library.
The last 3 years, we have had a great opportunity to partner with Beavercreek Community Theater and they have been wonderful hosts for theater camp. It has always been Dare to Defy's mission to be accessible to all kids in Dayton and the company has decided to move camp downtown to follow the theater's goals.
It is the same great camp with many of the same counselors returning. We are just in a new place!
Attached are the registration forms for both High School and Youth Theater Camp.

Remember, it is the grade you are entering into in the Fall. You can either scan and email the registration forms to me or print them off and mail them. You will receive an email stating that your registration was received and your child is enrolled in the camp. Also, a welcome letter will be sent at the end of June with all the information you need to know about the camp. I will tell you that the youth camp fills up very quickly and the last 2 years, we have had a waiting list so please don't delay if you are interested. There is an early bird special for both camps if you register and pay in full on or before April 30th.
You may pay in many different ways. You can make a check out to Dare to Defy Productions or put your credit card information on the registration form. You can also pay online by going to our web page at http://www.d2defy.com, go to the link on the left that says summer camp 2018 and then scroll to the bottom to where it says Pay and click on the donate button. When filling out the form, please put your child's name and summer camp in the "On behalf of" section.
Performance Opportunities for young artists We have many other opportunities for older children this summer. We have 3 summer shows as well as a free 90 minute audition class for 10-18 year olds. Listed below are the shows, audition and performance dates. Unfortunately, due to an error on the performance venues part, if your child is taking part in the High School Summer Camp, they will not be able to participate in the show 13 because they conflict with a performance date (July 13th). However, they can audition for Jesus Christ Superstar. It should only effect the 14 year olds and we are very sorry for this conflict.
All of our Dare 2 Inspire productions will be free of charge to all students who audition, in keeping with our mission to make interesting and meaningful theatre accessible to all students across the Miami Valley.
