Victoria Theatre Association proudly announces the PNC Family Series presentation of Creole for Kidz & the History of Zydeco, February 26-27, 2011 at 1pm and 3:30 pm in the historic Victoria Theatre.
Grammy award-winning artist, Terrance Simien presents a highly interactive, show-stopping production that educates audiences about zydeco music, originating from French speaking Creoles in southern Louisiana. An 8th generation native Louisiana Creole, Simien created Creole for Kidz t0 teach young people about zydeco's unique style. His two decades of performing has brought his shows to more than 25 countries. Simien's music was recently featured in Disney's Princess and the Frog.
Creole for Kidz is a multicultural arts-in-education performance that has reached more than 250,000 students, parents and educators around the world. Simien's acclaimed show immerses audiences into a Mardi Gras celebration that has them learning and dancing at the same time.

For 25 years, Victoria Theatre Association has presented quality, entertaining programs complete with pre-performance craft activities and study guides (available online) for each production. Tailored to children ages 4-12 and their families, the PNC Family Series is one of the largest and oldest performing arts series for children in the Miami Valley.
Don't miss out on fun craft activities beginning one hour before each performance on Saturday and Sunday! Kids and adults can create a special Creole for Kidz themed crafted on the 3rd floor of the Victoria Theatre.
Creole for Kidz & the History of Zydeco will appear at the Victoria Theatre, February 26-27, 2011 at 1pm and 3:30pm. Adult tickets are $18; Children's tickets are $16. Discounts are also available for senior citizens, students and groups.
