BWW Previews: CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME Comes to Wright State University

Wright State University Theatre proudly presents the Area Premiere of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Wright State University Theatre opens it 39th season with the area premiere of the mystery play: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - the electrifying new drama by Stephen Stephens based on the award-winning mystery by Mark Haddons -which plays September 27th - October 7th.

It is now 7 minutes after midnight, and Christopher, a "15 year-old with an exceptional brain," stands beside his neighbor's dog, Wellington, who has been speared with a garden fork. Finding himself under suspicion, Christopher, a young lad somewhere on the autism spectrum, is determined to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington, and he carefully records each fact of the crime, venturing, for the first time in his life, outside of the boundaries of his yard.

Winner of 5 Tony Awards, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is one of the most highly acclaimed dramas of our time, playing nearly four years on London's West-end. It's part of Wright State Theatre's commitment to bring its students and audiences some of the most exciting, and challenging drama of our era.

In presenting this new play, WSU is proud to be partnering with SICSA (See below for a special announcement.) The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is directed by Marya Spring Cordes (Grapes of Wrath, Music Man), with fight choreography by Bruce Cromer. The set is designed by David J. Castellano, costumes by Courtney Michele, lighting by Matthew Benjamin, properties by Terry Webb, and sound by James Dunlap.

On the stage, this production features Colin Hodgkin as Christopher Boone, Justin Mathews as Ed Boone, Katie Sinicki as Judy Boone, Kaitlyn Campbell as Siobhan, MacKenzie Kasbaum as Voice One, Mrs. Shears, Mrs. Gascoyne, Woman on train, and Shopkeeper, Josh Beasley as Roger Sears, Duty Sergeant, Mr. Wise, Man behind Count, and Drunk One, Eric Thompson as Voice Three, Police Man, Mr. Thompson, Drunk Two, Man with Socks, and London Police, Mark Antony Howard as Voice Four, Rev. Peters, Uncle Terry, and Station Guard, Hailey Marshall as Voice Five, No. 40 and others, Lady in the Street, Information, and Punk Girl, Isabella Andrews as Voice Six, Mrs. Alexander, and Posh Woman.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time opens on September 27th at 7pm, with additional performances on September 28th ,29th, and October 5th and 6th at 8 PM; and September 30th and October 6th and 7th at 2:00; and October 3rd and 4th at 7 PM. Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for senior citizens and $15 for students.
