K Dance Artistic Director Kaye Weinstein Gary has announced the program for K Dance's 24th annual YES! Dance Festival at Firehouse Theatre on Friday, April 21 at 8pm and Saturday, April 22 at 4pm and 8pm. K Dance is the resident dance company at Firehouse.

Formed in 1991, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) is the oldest full-time musician-governed and collaboratively-operated orchestra in the United States. After 17 seasons under the musical direction of Carlos Miguel Prieto, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Board of Trustees is introducing renowned conductor Matthew Kraemer as the new Music Director.

The Washington Ballet today announced that five members of its Studio Company have been promoted into the Company. The dancers are: Andrea Allmon; Rafael Bejarano; Nicholas Cowden; Audrey Malek; and Isaac “Rench” Soriano.

Festival Ballet Providence (FBP) Chatterbox Theatre series will present Three Little Pigs for two consecutive weekends, March 23-24 and March 30-31 in FBP's Black Box Theatre. The ChatterBox series is celebrating 10 years, having delighted children and families with its adorable, rich, funny, memorable, sweet presentations of original new storytelling and choreography. 

ZHONG-JING FANG, soloist of American Ballet Theatre, PAOLA HARTLEY, former principal dancer of Ballet Arizona, KARL CONDON, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet, and ILYA KOZADAYEV, former soloist of the Houston Ballet will be on the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Zhong-Jing Fang and Paola Hartley will be on the faculty from July 23-27, 2018, and Karl Condon and  Ilya Kozadayev will be on the faculty from July 30-August 3, 2018.  

On Today, December 16 at 4pm at George Mason University Center for the Arts, two, premier, Fairfax County arts institutions - the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra (FSO) and The Fairfax Ballet - come together to present the holiday masterpiece, The Nutcracker.

Quantum Theatre and En Garde Arts are presenting the World Premiere of Red Hills by Sean Christopher Lewis in Pittsburgh's Strip District from August 18th - September 10th.

This weekend, Hilton Norfolk THE MAIN played host to Hampton Roads' supporters of the arts with THE MAIN Event: A Weekend Celebration for the Arts presented by TowneBank.  Starting with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and followed with a full schedule of visual and performing art experiences throughout the weekend, including Saturday Headliner Kelli O'Hara, The Main Event closed out the weekend with an oversized check presentation to the Business Consortium for Arts Support in the amount of $581,000.

On March 26, 2017, THE MAIN Event: A Celebration for the Arts, presented by TowneBank, will bring a private weekend celebration of arts and culture to downtown Norfolk.
