Nearly 10,000 fifth grade students from over 100 Los Angeles County schools will immerse themselves in the performing arts over four days at the 52nd Annual Blue Ribbon Children's Festival (March 22 – 25), culminating each day in a participatory dance on Jerry Moss Plaza at The Music Center.

Versa-Style Dance Company premieres its latest full-length work, Freemind Freestyle, commissioned by The Ford Theatre Foundation and presented by the LA Phil on Friday October 1st, 2021 at The Ford. The performance explores a wide range of dance forms such as Hip Hop, House, Whacking, Popping and Krump as vehicles of expression.  

The committed artists of Versa-Style bring hip-hop to the concert stage, pushing the boundaries of traditional hip-hop dance in order to share the realities of their lives, experiences and struggles within the varied and infinitely complex political and personal landscapes of Los Angeles.

Summer @ The Wallis continues to welcome live audiences back with an entertaining mix of live hip hop and contemporary dance programs and Mariachi, classical and pop music performances running from August 7 – 28, 2021, in a spectacular pop-up outdoor theater – a theater without walls – at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

This was the second Company to perform in The Brand Associates/Glendale Library Dance Series that has been absent during the pandemic, and it is thrilling that it now is back!! The Versa-Style Dance Company brings a new element to the mix of dance styles and appearances from former years, although they have performed in this series in the past. With a unique urban vibe, funky and down-into it and a free-form mix of styles... by that, I mean more improvisational, than say ballet or jazz. It gives you a free, uplifting and joyous feeling and is very infectious.
