Founded in 2005, our mission at The Dance Factory is to offer the highest quality training while providing students a positive and nurturing environment. Lovingly chosen instructors, boasting exceptional skill sets and a carefully crafted curriculum.The staff at The Dance Factory are well trained offering the most current innovative teaching techniques. Giving students at The Dance Factory the chance to reach their full range of artistic potential and flourish within our program. Our philosophy behind teaching is to spark creative ways of thinking and moving. TDF provides children the opportunity to explore and appreciate all forms of dance. The studio offers a variety of classes including Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop and Acrobatics. Instruction for all ages and skill levels beginning at two years old through professional caliber instruction for young adults. On the evening of April 3, 2018, The Dance Factory led by Artistic Director Dada Masilo returned to The Joyce Theater following their successful season back in 2016. Masilo- who is known for her unique and innovative interpretations of classical ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Carmen, and Swan Lake- presented the New York premiere of her latest work, Giselle. This is not the original story that audiences have come to know for generations. But rather, retells and reimagines the story from a feminist lens with a twist.
