Kelly Strayhorn Theater has announced the NYC premiere of Jesse Factor's THE MARTHAODYSSEY at the Live Artery Festival, taking place from January 10-13, 2025, showcasing Pittsburgh's vibrant arts scene.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s (PBT) popular program Open Air: A Series in Celebration of the Performing Arts returns to the city June 9 – 12 at a new location on the Allegheny Riverfront in Sharpsburg (1 19th Street, Sharpsburg). The series will include performances by the PBT Company as well as local performing arts organizations.

“The Most Anticipated Production of 2022” (BroadwayWorld Readers’ Poll, 2021) just announced their cast. The Boys in the Band, Mart Crowley’s American classic, will begin previews June 16 at the historic Fred Rogers Studio at WQED in an exciting new production by PICT Classic Theatre.

On April 30 at the Mellon Institute Auditorium in Oakland, international superstar soprano Takesha Meshé Kizart-Thomas gives a moving solo recital dedicated to women artists who shaped the 20th century. On May 20 and 22 at the Carnegie Music Hall in Carnegie, Resonance Works presents a reimagined version of Giuseppe Verdi's heartbreaking opera masterpiece Rigoletto set in 1930s Hollywood.

Mother and daughter Terrel and Kaelyn Lefferts announce Dance-It-Out! Creative Movement Stories, their series for children ages 4 to 7 that combines whimsical storytelling and interactive play to fully engage the readers. This is the team’s second movement/dance series created during the covid quarantine under the author name Once Upon a Dance.

After a year of darkened theaters Downtown, Pittsburgh's performing artists are stepping out into the light. Thanks to a new mobile stage purchased by the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre (PBT), they will debut an “Open Air” series of live, outdoor performances like no other on the lawn at Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park this May.

Green Space has announced a diverse roster of artists for its signature programs this September. Take Root will present an evening of work by PROJECT 44 and Annalee Traylor on February 7th and 8th, and Fertile Ground showcases works-in-progress by multiple dance artists on February 9th.
