Daniel Parkinson & Friends will be releasing a brand-new EP: An American in Paris, which is a recording of two Gershwin arrangements on 23rd September 2024. An American in Paris is arranged for chamber ensemble by Iain Farrington and the second track, Promenade - Walking the Dog, has been arranged for chamber ensemble by James Batty.

Thirty years ago I saw my very first professional musical. I was just a kid, and I was in awe of the performance at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. That very same show, The King and I, is on stage now and the magic is still there. It may be tinged with nostalgia for me, but the talent on stage is undeniable.

The world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra will provide a night of music and dancing for the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center’s 2024 Benefit Ball set for the evening of March 23 at the Shrine Auditorium. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with music beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Lisa Ann Walter was revealed as the winner of Celebrity Jeopardy! last week. As part of her big win, she was able to donate her earnings to the charity of her choice. Walter chose to donate her $1,000,000 to the Entertainment Community Fund.

Anthony Ramos and Jennifer Lopez are bringing Bob the Builder to the big screen. In the Heights star will voice the title role in a feature based on the animated children's series. Lopez is set to produce. The film will follow Roberto (aka Bob) as he travels to Puerto Rico for a major construction job.

Helen George, best known as Trixie in the hit BBC One series Call The Midwife, will star as Anna Leonowens. Playing opposite Helen George in The King and I will be renowned Broadway performer Darren Lee as King of Siam.

Global superstar Jennifer Lopez has signed on to star in a big screen adaptation of John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Terrence McNally's 1993 Broadway musical, Kiss of the Spider Woman.
