The holiday season is just around the corner, and the islands have some wonderful theatre offerings to keep spirits high! Check out some of the shows we’re looking forward to, broken down by island, and listed in order of opening date.

 Momentum Dance Collective will bring the joy and sparkle of dance to its second annual season opening fundraiser, Shine.

Momentum Studios announced a new First Friday Performance Series, featuring monthly showcases of local artists and performers. The series aims to highlight the vibrant arts community and provide a platform for emerging talent.

Momentum Dance Collective will perform its latest production of On My Way, premiering this April at UAA’s Mainstage Theatre. The show is a vibrant exploration of transition and journey, mirroring the exciting organizational changes within Momentum itself.

Momentum Dance Collective will present Rhapsody, a full length dance and live rock show featuring the music of Queen and the songs that have captivated generations of fans and inspired countless artists.

Emerging Artists Theatre (EAT) is kicking off their 30th anniversary season by changing the name of their bi-annual New Work Series to Spark Theatre Festival NYC. The company will also return to premiering new works Off-Broadway in Fall 2023.

The Ed Washington Experience kicks off a new series @ Studio C with Studio Sessions. This concert series will feature four different performing artists over the 2022/2023 season inside this intimate venue. Studio Sessions have limited seating and are designed with listening room vibes, but that doesn't mean they won't be full of energy. 

Performing together for the first time, @Studio C is proud to present ‘The Ed Washington Experience’. With a soulful and engaging sound, ‘The Ed Washington Experience’ gets intimate and creates a groove that can best be described as intoxicating. The Experience is fronted by Ed Washington on vocals and keys, Levi Betz on guitar, Oliver Petraitis on bass, and Kengo Nagaoka on drums. They will be playing Ed tunes like you have never heard them before, as well as introducing a new song in this debut performance

@ Studio C is the home of Momentum Dance Collective and visual artist Enzina Marrari. An artist driven, community focused space, Studio C brings you a fun and final stop for First Fridays in Anchorage.

The second annual ArtWorks Anchorage day is September 25. Join the arts community in Anchorage for a city-wide celebration of the arts.

Inspired by songs that give us comfort, the sounds from across generations that speak of hope or heartache or just give us that little tug of nostalgia, Momentum Dance Collective returns to the Alaska Botanical Garden's with “Uncovered”.

Anchorage Concert Association created the Community Artist Project to partner with local artists to create short-term projects that provide connections between communities throughout Anchorage while social events, venues, and performances remain limited due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Celebrating 37 years of dance, art and culture, Momentum Dance Company and its Founder & Artistic Director Delma Iles, announce a magical series of children’s programming January through May 2021.

Set in the outdoor living museum at the Alaska Botanical Garden, Momentum Dance Collective and The Forest That Never Sleeps come together for a performance that brings a love story of our human experience to life.
