3Arts, the Chicago-based nonprofit grantmaking organization, has announced the recipients of this year’s 3Arts Awards, with over half a million dollars distributed to local artists.

M.A.D.D. Rhythms announced the return of the Chicago Tap Summit this October, featuring the world premiere of 'To Love You All Ways' by Andrew Carr on October 5 at 7:30 p.m., along with additional events.

New York City Center announced complete programming for the 2024 Fall for Dance Festival, September 18 – 29, 2024. An essential part of New York’s fall dance season, the annual ten-day Festival opens City Center’s 2024 – 2025 season with a showcase of dance companies and artists in an array of styles, attracting an audience of 22,000 newcomers and returning dance fans alike.

The nonprofit organization 3Arts has announced the date for the annual 3Arts Awards Celebration, a festive evening of dynamic performances by Chicago artists and the announcement of the recipients of more than half a million dollars in unrestricted grants to 26 artists working in the performing, teaching, and visual arts.

The Chicago Black Dance Legacy Project will present Divination: The Dancing Souls of Black Folk, a powerful performance celebrating the rich cultural heritage and artistic contributions of Black dancers.

This summer’s Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival will open with a ballet company that sends up the conventions of romantic and classical ballet. Learn more about the full lineup here!

Chicago Tap Allstars, a collective of Tap dance artists and organizations brought together by M.A.D.D. Rhythms and Chicago Tap Theatre, commemorates National Tap Dance Day with a weekend that includes free and paid workshops, lectures, history lessons, a viewing party and a Tap Jam, Friday, May 24 - Sunday, May 26 at the Harold Washington Cultural Center, 4701 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.

This summer in the Berkshires will feature nine weeks of performances by dancers, musicians, and artists from around the world—including a special week-long “takeover” by The Royal Ballet in their only U.S. engagement this year—plus, dance parties, community events, exhibits, workshops, PillowTalks, livestreams, and more.

Chicago Tap Allstars, a collective of Tap dance artists and organizations brought together by M.A.D.D. Rhythms and Chicago Tap Theatre, has announced a new show for the holiday season, “Winter Wonderland,” Saturday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. at the Harold Washington Cultural Center.

Celebrate the 2023 3Arts Awards honoring talented artists in dance, theater, visual arts, music, and arts education. Donnetta “LilBit” Jackson, Rika Lin, Rashada Dawan, Avreeayl Ra, Nancy García Loza, and Charlotte “Chuck” Gruman are among the awardees. Grammy Award-winning opera singer Will Liverman will perform at the event.
