Los Angeles–based professional dance company Invertigo Dance Theatre (Invertigo) has shifted its weekly Dancing Through Parkinson's (DTP) classes online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement was made today by K. Bradford, Community Engagement Manager of Invertigo Dance Theatre. For the past nine years, the company has offered free (donations accepted) weekly dance classes in studios throughout Southern California to people living with Parkinson's.

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents the world premiere of Invertigo Dance Theatre's Formulae & Fairy Tales on September 13 & 14 at 7:30 pm. Formulae & Fairy Tales casts the life of Alan Turing, mathematical genius and World War II codebreaker, into the Technicolor© and mythologized ideas of his favorite film, Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, placing the world of mathematics, artificial intelligence, and cryptography onto a vivid, twisted fairy-tale palette.

Independent Shakespeare Co. (ISC) returns to the Old Zoo at Griffith Park for the 2019 season of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival with two plays by William Shakespeare performed in repertory: Twelfth Night directed by David Melville and Pericles directed by Melissa Chalsma. ISC is thrilled to return to the Old Zoo for the 16th season of presenting free Shakespeare in Los Angeles Parks! The Old Zoo is located in Griffith Park near the intersection of Crystal Springs Drive and Griffith Park Drive.

Definition of Man, which had its world premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June 2017 and recently finished an international tour returns to the LA stage this January. The one-act play had an oversold run during Hollywood Fringe and was nominated for multiple awards including Best World Premiere and won Best of Fringe in Dance & Physical Theatre, the "Ripest Show" sponsored Award from Cherry Poppins, and an Encore Producers Award. The New England Foundation for the Arts has awarded $1,790,000 through the National Dance Project (NDP) to support the creation of 20 new dance works that will tour the United States.
