As the 2022-2023 Dance Season comes to a close, Miami Dance Hub is stepping-up with 'Miami Dances,' a celebration of multi-genre and multi-cultural dance from May 19 through May 21 at the Lehman Theater on Miami Dade North Campus.

The Universe of Federico Garcia Lorca will guide this performance into the Spanish dances, poems and songs from the traditional Spanish songbook. There will also be pieces from Padre Soler, Manuel de Falla and Isaac Albéniz.

After last year's virtual-only performances, the annual Daniel Lewis Dance Sampler returns to live, in-person events for its 11th year. Celebrating the tenacity and creativity of Florida's dancers and choreographers, it will showcase a curated group of eight works, featuring some of the best the state has to offer.

Ballet Flamenco La Rosa (BFLR), an international flamenco dance company, based in Miami and made up of dancers and musicians from Spain, Latin America and the U.S., presents the World Premiere of El Conde Dracula. Created and choreographed by Artistic Director of BFLR, Ilisa Rosal, the piece was derived from Bram Stokers' Dracula. It inspired the creation of a potent and vivid Flamenco Ballet, connecting with this timeless material to create a new incarnation of what is probably the most definitive work in this genre. The performances will take place on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the historic Colony Theatre on Miami Beach.

A preview performance of  The Good Manners of Colonized Subjects, a spoken dance performance by Shebana Coelho, will be held Wednesday, October 10 at 7:00 pm at The ARTS at Marks Garage (1159 Nu'uanu Avenue ).  Coelho is a writer and director originally from India, now based in New Mexico.

Ballet Flamenco La Rosa (BFLR), an international flamenco dance company, based in Miami and made up of international dancers and musicians, presents the World Premiere of Verano y Humo, an original Flamenco Ballet that blends the traditional art form of flamenco with a classic American play. Created and choreographed by Artistic Director of Ballet Flamenco La Rosa, Ilisa Rosal, the piece was inspired by Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke. The performances will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2018 and Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the historic Colony Theatre on Miami Beach.

Fundacion Centro Flamenco (Centro Flamenco), the country's premier flamenco dance school, will stage the full-length original flamenco ballet titled La Luna Roja (The Red Moon) at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium (RCBC building, Makati) on November 25-26.
