About DANCE PLACE

The Dance Place was founded in 1995 under the direction of Joanne DePue, BFA, University of the Arts and Susan Moore, BA, Holy Family University and M.Ed, Temple University.

Joanne DePue, artistic director (1995--until her passing in 2018), was a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance performance and education. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of the Ursela Melita Heisman award for outstanding achievement in ballet. She taught dance for 36 years.

Susan Moore, studio owner/manager, is a graduate of Holy Family University (BA) and Temple University earning a Master's Degree in English Education.
