Ohio Contemporary Ballet presents, Cleveland Inspirations, a program on February 10, 2024, at the Breen Center for the Performing Arts featuring two world premieres based on local Cleveland history plus the last chance to see Gerald Arpino’s, Celebration. Robert Gardner has re-imagined Bacchanale, a work made famous by the great ballerina, Anna Pavlova.

MorDance presents Works in Progress on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 7:30pm at Martha Graham Studios, 55 Bethune St, NYC. This intimate showing is an opportunity to peer into the creative process and hear from the artists themselves.

Founded in 1972 in its earliest iteration as the Ballet Folk of Moscow, Ballet Idaho has transformed throughout the past 50 years to become the premiere professional ballet company and dance academy in the state of Idaho.

Now open at McNay Art Museum, The Great Stage of Texas celebrates 13 contemporary designers from the Lone Star State through a dynamic presentation of set, costume, lighting, and projection designs created for theatre productions around the world.

Taking place May 6-8, 2022 at The Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts, 2201 W Cesar Chavez Ln, Boise, ID 83725, the much awaited performance of Bruce Wells’ Beauty and the Beast is finally here!

Get lost in movement and explore a constellation of smaller works that showcase Ballet Idaho as a whole at Anthology, an intimate series of six dance pieces that will take place on March 24-27 at the Boise State University Special Events Center located at 1800 W University Dr., Boise, ID 83706.

Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, Ballet Idaho has leapt ahead in launching a unique trainee program which emphasizes individual mentorship alongside invaluable experiences of working and performing alongside Ballet Idaho company members to bridge the often-neglected gap between ballet student and company-ready professional.

The Ballet Idaho New Beginnings Spring Gala is a wholehearted celebration of returning to the in-person stage and the community which has been in an exclusively digital space for longer than anticipated.

Ballet Idaho will perform ANTHOLOGY at Boise State University SPEC next month. Performances will run March 24 – March 27, 2022. An exciting survey of six works, nearly all of which will be world premieres. Ballet Idaho is bringing a mixed repertory dance program, The Stores We Tell, to the stage. Experience dance from the classical to the contemporary at the Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts, 2011 W Cesar Chavez Lane, Boise, Idaho 83725 on Friday, February 4th, 2022 and Saturday, February 5th 2022.

Mother and daughter Terrel and Kaelyn Lefferts announce Dance-It-Out! Creative Movement Stories, their series for children ages 4 to 7 that combines whimsical storytelling and interactive play to fully engage the readers. This is the team’s second movement/dance series created during the covid quarantine under the author name Once Upon a Dance. 

The much awaited performance of Bruce Wells’ Beauty and the Beast is finally here! Be swept away in the magic of this one-act classic fairy tale, then enjoy the whimsy of act two, which will be the world premiere of Ballet Idaho Associate Artistic Director Anne Mueller’s Peter and the Wolf, featuring new scenic and costume design and Prokofiev’s famous narrated score.
