We’re off to see the Wizard! Come with us on a wondrous journey from Kansas to Oz and back with Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion in MGM’s classic The Wizard of Oz live on the Woodlawn Theatre stage.
When trying to save her beloved dog Toto, Dorothy Gale is caught up in a tornado and is transported to the magical land of Oz where she encounters Munchkins, a live Scarecrow, an immobilized Tin Man, a Cowardly Lion, a Good Witch, a Wicked Witch, and The Wizard of Oz himself. Battling evil forces and their own personal fears, the foursome travel the yellow brick road to Emerald City to ask The Wizard to grant their wishes – a brain, a heart, courage, and the way home.
The Wizard of Oz is a marvelous musical treasure filled with colorful storytelling and memorable songs including “Over the Rainbow,” “If I Only Had a Brain,” If I Were King of the Forest,” “The Merry Old Land of Oz,” and more. Relive memories and make new ones with Woodlawn Theatre’s production of The Wizard of Oz starting June 29!
