Celebrating at enduring obsession of the modern age, Shoes is a vibrant and colorful song and dance spectacular that takes audiences on a journey from the lows of the croc via the agony and ecstasy of the stiletto, to the highs of the platform boot .
Written by Richard Thomas, the co-creator of Jerry Springer - The Opera, and choreographed by Stephen Wear (Sweet Charity, Mary Poppins), Shoes is a wickedly irreverent and affectionate look at the special power this seemingly innocuous item of clothing holds over many a shoe-addict.
The show is an homage to the art of footwear, and to those who have made ??shoes famous icons - from Cinderella to Imelda Marcos. Wear has the assistance of additional choreographers including Kate Prince, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Aletta Collins and Mark Smith as he and Thomas celebrate Uggs and designer heels, Birkenstocks and slippers.
