Based on material generated by Cara Ma Theatres artistic ensemble under the direction of Mexican director Alicia Martnez lvarez, Orgenes / Origins, is a work in progress about a teenager coming to terms with being displaced from her home country. Orgenes/Origins utilizes masks, movement and original music, celebrating 18 years of collaboration between Cara Ma Theatre and the Laboratorio de la Mscara.After each performance, audiences are invited to contribute ideas to further flesh out the play in a discussion with the actors and creators.
