In 1942, Miriam Wright stabbed her husband Elliott 26 times…in her sleep. When present day Alice begins studying the case for her debate class, she becomes obsessed with proving Miriam’s innocence. But as tensions rise and the dead begin to talk, Alice’s own grasp on reality begins slipping further between time and space. A feminist study in dissociation, portraiture, and the latent power of the supine woman.
