Undermain Theatre presents the regional premiere of Gracie Gardner's Athena, running from September 5 to September 29, 2024. The play centers on brave, seventeen-year-old fencers Mary Wallace and Athena, who train for the Junior Olympics while grappling with their complicated relationship. Directed by Bruce DuBose, the production features Christina Cranshaw as Mary Wallace, Nadia DeWolf as Athena, and Lily Gast as Jaime. The play offers a poignant exploration of ambition and the desire for connection amid the pressures of competition.
