WaterTower Theatre Associate Artistic Director, Kelsey Leigh Ervi, today announced details for the Regional Premiere of Guadalupe in the Guest Room written by Tony Meneses, and directed by Christie Vela.

Guadalupe in the Guest Room will run from February 22 - March 17, 2019 on the Terry Martin Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. The cast will feature Andrews W. Cope, David Lugo, Leticia Magaña, and Gabrielle Reyes. Making their WaterTower Theatre debuts are Leticia Magaña and Gabrielle Reyes.

The creative team, in addition to Director Christie Vela, includes Whitney Holotik as Assistant Director, Bob Lavallee as Scenic Designer, Korey Kent as Costume Designer, Aaron Johansen as Lighting Designer, John M. Flores as Sound Designer, Matthew Duvall as Properties Designer, Caron Grant as Production Stage Manager, Jessica Updike as Assistant Stage Manager, and Nicole Berastequi as Fight Choreographer.

Guadalupe in the Guest Room is sponsored, in part, by Frost Bank and Raymond James. WaterTower Theatre's 2018-2019 Season sponsor is The Town of Addison.

About Guadalupe in the Guest Room

Guadalupe is living in the guest room of her son-in-law, Steve, while she works to translate from English to Spanish the children's books her deceased daughter has written. Overcome with grief and separated by a language barrier, the unlikely housemates struggle to communicate. As they begin watching the same television show, the two bond in the most unexpected of ways, leading Guadalupe and Steve to learn that understanding doesn't always require speaking the same language. Guadalupe in the Guest Room is a funny and heartfelt celebration of new beginnings, breaking barriers, and the healing power of telenovelas.
