WaterTower Theatre (WTT) continues its 2008‐2009 season with the landmark American drama by Tennessee Williams, The Glass Menagerie. It will run April 2 - 19, 2009.
In Tennessee Williams' powerful and poetic memory play, The Glass Menagerie, Tom is torn between the duty to his overbearing mother Amanda and his desire to escape the shackles of his life. Trapped between the two is the delicate and isolated Laura.
Praised for its tenderness and charm, Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie stands as Williams' most intimate and iveting drama. WTT's production of The Glass Menagerie will feature Pamela Peadon as Amanda, Dan Forsythe as Tom, Jessica Wiggers as Laura, and Matt Moore as Jim, the Gentleman Caller.
Scenic design is by Clare Floyd DeVries, lighting design is by Jason S. Foster, costume design is by Barbara Cox, and properties design is by Tish Mussey. The play will be directed by WTT's Producing Artistic Director, Terry Martin.
This production of The Glass Menagerie is supported by WaterTower Theatre's Associate Producing Partners, Haynes and Boone LLP and Atmos Energy. The Glass Menagerie will run April 2‐19, 2009 at the Addison Theatre Centre, which is located at 15650 Addison Road in Addison, Texas. Performance times are Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 PM, Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 2:00 PM (no matinee April 4) & 8:00 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM.
