WaterTower Theatre (WTT) concludes its 2008-2009 season with the comic romp Unnecessary Farce. It will run July 16 - August 2, 2009.

In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor meets with his female accountant while two undercover cops wait in the room next door to videotape the tryst. But there's some confusion as to who's in which room, who's being videotaped, who's taken the money, who's hired a hit man, and why the accountant keeps running around in her underwear. In the grand tradition of Noises Off, Unnecessary Farce is a side-splitting comedy sure to have you rolling in the aisles with laughter.

WTT's production of Unnecessary Farce features Regan Adair, Sonny Franks, Gordon Fox, Renee Krapff, Mike Schraeder, Cara Statham Serber and Ouida White. Scenic design is by Clare Floyd DeVries, lighting design is by David Natinsky, costume design is by Michael Robinson, and properties design is by Tish Mussey. The play will be directed by James Paul Lemons.

Unnecessary Farce will run July 16 - August 2, 2009 at the Addison Theatre Centre, which is located at 15650 Addison Road in Addison, Texas. Performance times are Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 PM, Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 2:00 PM (no matinee July 18) & 8:00 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM. Ticket prices range from $25 - $40. Tickets are available by calling the WTT Box Office at 972.450.6232 or online at www.watertowertheatre.org. Group rates are also available.

For the past twelve years, WaterTower Theatre has proven itself to be on the forefront of both the regional and Dallas theatre communities. WTT has been recognized for artistic excellence by the Dallas Theatre League, Dallas/Fort Worth Theater Critics Forum, The Dallas Morning News, The Dallas Observer, D Magazine and Star-Telegram, among others.
