The Firehouse Theatre in Farmers Branch will deck the halls with Irving Berlin's iconic holiday tunes in the family-favorite musical, WHITE CHRISTMAS. Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. On stage, Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. The dazzling score features well-known standards including "Blue Skies," "I Love A Piano," "How Deep Is the Ocean," and the perennial favorite, "White Christmas".
Kyle Christopher West returns to The Firehouse Theatre after choreographing GYPSY to direct, choreograph, and costume the larger-than-life production. He is joined by Mandy Modic of the national tour of 42nd STREET, who choreographs the iconic tap number "I Love A Piano." John Norine Jr. music directs and leads the live orchestra (Jared West, Randy Honeycutt, Katie McCoy, Rachel Madden, Hamilton Levine, and Brad Hawkins). Rounding out the creative team is Elizabeth Cantrell (Stage Manager), Katie Buck (Assistant Stage Manager), Lorens Portalatin (Assistant Director/Properties Designer), Carlos Strudwick (Associate Choreographer), Wendy Rene'e Searcy (Scenic & Projections Designer/Technical Director), Kenzie Flynn (Co-Technical Director), Cassondra Plybon-Harbin (Lighting Designer), and Riley Larson (Sound Designer). Logan Coley Broker designs wigs, with additional hair & makeup design by Broker and Caitlin Jones.
