Uptown Players presents its 12th annual fundraiser Broadway Our Way '14, running January 17 through 26, 2014 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater.
The Uptown divas return for another entertaining evening of Broadway music with plenty of twists, laughs and surprises. This year's divas will sing and dance to 30 songs from recent Broadway hits and revivals such as Mowtown the Musical, First Date, Young Frankenstein, Catch Me If You Can, Newsies, The Bodyguard and Jersey Boys, as well as classic favorites like My Fair Lady, Funny Girl, Aida, Little Shop of Horrors and West Side Story.
This year's cast includes Mikey Abrams, Beth Albright, Lon Barrera, LaMar Brown, John Campione, B.J. Cleveland, Coy Covington, Brendan Cyrus, Peter DiCesare, Danielle Estes, Sergio Garcia, Jennie Jermaine, Walter Lee, Linda Leonard, Emily Lockhart, SAra Martin, Morgan Mabry Mason, Kelly McCain, Kevin Moore, Michael Moore, Chad Peterson, Calvin Roberts, Darius-Anthony Robinson, Rick Starkweather, Amy Stevenson and Angel Velasco. Special Guests include Wendy Welch and Stephanie Riggs. This year, Broadway Our Way is written and directed by B. J. Cleveland with music direction by Kevin Gunter and Jesse Fry, musical arrangements by Adam C. Wright and choreography by Jeremy Dumont.
The evening also features a gallery of nearly 100 terrific auction prizes, including theatre tickets, restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, artwork and much more! A light reception follows each performance.
The production runs January 17 through January 26, 2014, with shows at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. Performances take place at the Kalita Humphreys Theatre, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd (at Blackburn), Dallas, TX 75219.
