Theatre Too presents the countrified musical comedy COTTON PATCH GOSPEL with book by Tom Key and Russell Treyz and music & lyrics by Harry Chapin.

COTTON PATCH GOSPEL is a musical comedy based on the book The Cotton Patch Version of Matthew and John by Clarence Jordan. Set in rural Georgia, this "Greatest Story Ever Retold" tells the gospel through country music songs. As the story begins, the cast sings that "Somethin's a-brewin' in Gainesville." Herod is the mayor of Atlanta and, inevitably, Jesus Christ is lynched by local thugs only to rise again.

COTTON PATCH GOSPEL is directed by B.J. Cleveland with musical direction by Mark Mullino and features an ensemble cast of 7 actors portraying more than 60 characters. The cast includes Joey Folsom (Jesus), Willy Welch (Matthew), Justin Duncan (Ensemble), Sonny Franks (Ensemble), Johnny Lee (Ensemble), Julie Mayer (Ensemble) and Abigail Palmgren (Ensemble). Designers include T3 Artistic Director Bruce Coleman (Costumes), Mark Guerra (Lights), and Sydnee Mowery (Set).
