In this new adaptation of the beloved tale, written and directed by Artistic Director Megan Hildebrand, the Luckenbooth Theatre is encouraging their Academy Players and community to give back to those in need this holiday season. "Luckenbooth does a benefit production annually and, with the launch of our Academy this season, we thought there was no better time to give back to our community than during the holidays - to be able to also get our student actors involved has been amazingly rewarding," says Hildebrand. There are two, simple ways to contribute: Bring a stamped letter to Santa and drop it off in their mailbox located in their lobby - for each letter received, The Make A Wish Foundation will receive $1. You may also bring an unwrapped toy to place under our Christmas tree - all toys donated will be given to Toys for Tots. If you bring a toy on Industry Night (December 6th), it will count as your admission cost!
Leading the cast of actors, all of whom are 7 - 16 years of age, are Kamille Isom as Scrooge, Emily Kercheval as Fred/Jacob Marley/Mrs. Fezziwig and Emery Bass as Mrs. Cratchit/Belle. They are joined by Izabella Cruz (Cratchit/Young Scrooge), Emma Azuelo (Spirit 2/ Mr. Fezziwig), Za'Coria Anderson (Spirit 1/Spirit 3), Adysen Creasser (Tiny Tim/Fan), and Elijah Macwithey (Peter Cratchit/Boy/Schoolboy). All Christmas Carol performances will take place at their newly remodeled Studio Theatre inside Stage Notes School of Music and Arts (5751 Park Vista Circle, Keller, TX). The production will run December 6 at 7:30pm, December 7 at 7:30pm, December 8 at 2pm and 7:30pm, and December 9 at 2pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are available online at https://buy.ticketstothecity.com/purchase.php?event_id=6940.
The Luckenbooth Theatre Academy is committed to training the next generation of actors and performers. Children and teens receive a level of professional coaching that reflects the integrity and quality of Collective productions and other seasoned theatre companies in DFW and beyond. You can follow the Luckenbooth Theatre Collective and Academy on Facebook and Instagram and expect a newly launched website after the holidays.
