SHOW DESCRIPTIONS:

Acet-o-philous or Vinegar Love (Sanders Theatre) - is a journey into stories, words and sounds that hold within them the potential for transformation. In an additional segment, the audience is given a treat with what might be called a Sound Bath, as EllaBeth walks through the assembled folks with various gongs and tonal devices exploring if sound has the potential to uplift.

The 2 Lilies (Sanders Theatre) - This work presents the future of poetry performances today. Live poetry recitals generally feature only the spoken word of the poet. This performance will combine the live poetry recitals with audio effects and original music. The desire is to make the poem a performance piece.

Improv Fun for Everyone! (Sanders Theatre) - The Frisco Improv Players will perform a series of clean, short-form interactive Improvisational comedy/scenes/games, each lasting 3-7 minutes in length. The audience is engaged from start to finish, as all of our scenes/games require audience participation, either in the form of shout-out suggestions or by taking the stage alongside the performers.

MENTAL (Sanders Theatre) - Walk into MENTAL prepared for a world of mind-numbing feats. Grant approaches the stage armed with nothing but his mind and a notepad- even so, you will be in suspense until the curtains close. Exploring the possibilities of the human brain, Grant will read your thoughts and predict your behavior. He knows your phone number, bank account, what you ate for breakfast. You think it, he knows it. This is MENTAL. PHOTO CREDIT - Linda M. Lee

Lenny Bruce IS BACK - (Scott Theatre) - Julie Stein and Sam Bobrick's Lenny Bruce IS BACK is a one man piece of scripted theatre, primarily comedic in design, that through the format and feel of stand-up comedy takes a look at one of the art form's most controversial figures.Through the premise of Bruce coming back from the dead to deliver the set he never had the opportunity to deliver in life, this biographical as well as culturally insightful show profiles stand-up comedy's most infamous figure who challenged the perceptions of the purpose of comedy and is thought of by many as the satirical equivalent of a martyr, vilified in life and sainted in death for the path he paved for comedians and individuals alike regarding the freedom of speech. Abstract Dance in One Part - (Scott Theatre) - This work seeks to explore the limitations of chance dance procedure in creating works of choreography. It will be based in improvisation, and the dance itself will be created in the moment through chance procedure. Rather than having a set performance structure, where the dancers are led by the structure, this work will attempt to create a structure of choreography through randomly generated movements and positions.

Big Bumps....A Stunt Gal's Voluptuous Rollercoaster Life - (Sanders Theatre) - Lisa Loving Dalton brings a fun and fully uncensored peek behind-the-scenes, revealing even more of the nitty gritty events shared in her Bestsellers: Falling For The Stars: A Stunt Gal's Tattle Tales and Murder Of Talent: How Pop Culture Is Killing "IT". Big Bumps traces the arc of Lisa's blockbuster-filled stunt resume (Ghostbusters, Splash, Highlander, Money Pit, Saturday Night Live,) flashing back to her bumpy childhood ridden with klutzy confusion, bullying, bad behavior, an abuse-filled college life and finding her way to love, teaching and performing across continents as her supreme antidote. Costume transformations and graceful movements contrast Daltonâ€TMs accident-prone history. By the end, you will have discovered the title is wittily well beyond a simple double entendre. It might be fun to count the bumps along the way! A multi-media presentation designed by producer Charles Bowles, heightens our experience with images/video clips from various films and life moments, supporting Dalton's magical storytelling.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) - (Scott Theatre) - literally - all of William Shakespeare's works presented in an hour.

The JIM Experience - (Sanders Theatre) - Taking improv to the next level, The JIM Experiment troupe members will perform a unique set of short-form improv games for each show throughout the weekend. The host will draw games and players at random throughout so that even the performers won't know which games they'll be playing. This high-energy and fast-paced improv extravaganza is sure to entertain and delight!

THE KILLER'S HEAD - (The Vault) - Experience the final thoughts of a condemned man before his execution. As you enter the prison, to be witness, you will be given instructions by the guard as to how best to respond to the prisoner and tips of being safe. After you have checked in you will be escorted to the execution room. He sits in an electric chair, blindfolded, his hands and torso tied to the chair. Hear his final thoughts before electrocution.
