The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today the 2019 season of its distinctive speakers series #hearhere. From education, business and entertainment - with this series you will hear the radical imaginations, passion, humor and knowledge of iconic personalities who shape the way we experience our world and each other.
This fifth season of #hearhere begins with Serial podcast creators Sarah Koenig and Julie Snyder on March 19, 2019. WWE and 16-time World Champion John Cena takes the stage - not the ropes - on April 25.
May 29 brings A Conversation with Martha Stewart, Emmy Award-winning television show host, entrepreneur and bestselling author. The season culminates on July 8 with a night to remember with An Evening with Jane Fonda, two- time Academy Award® winner (Best Actress in 1971 for Klute and in 1978 for Coming Home), three-time Golden Globe® winner, and 2014 recipient of the AFI Life Achievement Award.
"Audiences expect our #hearhere speaker series to bring big names, and this might be the most exciting season yet," said Debbie Storey, interim president and CEO of AT&T Performing Arts Center. "This lineup includes icons from the worlds of education, business, activism and entertainment, and the common thread is that they're all among the best at what they do."
