Shakespeare Dallas Announces New Indoor Winter Season Image Shakespeare Dallas announces it will launch a new Winter Season performance in January 2019, made possible by a grant through the Meadows Foundation. Staged at Moody Performance Hall, the Winter Season marks the first full-production indoor programming for Shakespeare Dallas.

For its inaugural indoor performance, Shakespeare Dallas will perform Hamlet, directed by Executive and Artistic Director, Raphael Parry. The performances will run January 11th-13th and 16th-19th at 8 p.m., with a final 2 p.m. matinee performance on Jan. 20th. There will also be two student matinee performances available during the run.

"While we have successfully delivered our Shakespeare in the Park summer and fall performances for many years, we have for some time wanted to offer an indoor performance during colder months to bring another option to our patrons," said Parry. "Now, with this new Winter Season, along with our in-school educational programming, summer camp programs and special member performances, we can truly offer year-round Shakespeare-inspired programming for the greater North Texas community."

The Winter Season will be designed with a smaller cast in mind, making the performances more intimate for audiences. Ticket costs will range from $15-$40, depending on the performance.

Tickets may be purchased at the door or online. Additional information is available at http://www.shakespearedallas.org or 214-559-2778.

Founded in 1971 as a free summer Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Dallas serves the community as one of North Texas' most treasured cultural institutions and the area's only producer of educational programming focused on teaching Shakespeare. Using Shakespeare's works as a cornerstone, Shakespeare Dallas serves the Southwest region with fun and accessible indoor and outdoor theatre, integrated school programs, and cultural enrichment for people of all ages and backgrounds.
