Second Thought Theatre closes its 7th season with Bob Birdnow's Remarkable Tale of Human Survival and the Transcendence of Self by local playwright, and the Texas Theater's own, Eric Steele.
This piece tells the story of Bob Birdnow, a former pilot who endured a terrible tragedy: a plane crash that killed his closest friends and left him alive, though forever changed. In this one man show, Steele explores the connection between our own survival mechanism and our larger purpose on this earth as human beings. Steele is joined by director Lee Trull (Dying City), and Barry Nash in the role of Bob Birdnow. Drew Wall (Second Thought Theatre Artist in Residence) will produce. "Eric has written a beautiful play," says Drew Wall. "It's filled with passion, pain and loss, but it also reminds us that in life, there is always hope."Second Thought Theatre is an ensemble theatre company comprised of an eclectic group of actors, designers, playwrights, directors, and arts administrators dedicated to providing the Dallas community with a quality of performance that is in keeping with the highest national standards.
