Second Thought Theatre announced today details for this year's Second Thought State of Mind, an event celebrating STT and gathering support for the award-winning theatre company. The third annual Second Thought State of Mind invites guests to an evening of fun and fundraising featuring entertainment by Liz Mikel. Second Thought State of Mind will take place on Friday, November 4 at Sammons Center for the Arts.
"This year's Second Thought State of Mind will build on the success of the last two years' events, which provided significant funds for our artistic work. The event has grown so much that we have moved to Sammons Center, a larger venue." said Karol Omlor, Second Thought State of Mind 2016 event chair. "This year Liz Mikel, a beloved Dallas entertainer, is going to perform. Her dynamic voice and presence will help set the perfect tone for a vibrant evening in support of Second Thought Theatre."
This year's Second Thought State of Mind begins with cocktails and festive fare at 7:00 p.m., followed by Liz Mikel performing her cabaret show Songs in the Key of L.I.Z. accompanied by a live band. At 9:00 p.m., guests will be invited to Fund the Mission by providing financial support to Second Thought Theatre. Rob McCollum will emcee. Cocktails and mingling with Second Thought artists and supporters will finish the evening. Those who Fund the Mission prior to the event will also be invited to a special Mix and Mingle party at 6:00 p.m.
