When Runway Theatre opens their thirty-sixth season with perennial favorite, She Loves Me later this week, they'll have a sweet story to share both on and off stage. During the rehearsal process, director Jenny Tucker contacted Parfumelle, a custom fragrance shop in Fort Worth, looking for support. What she found was kismet.

Upon hearing Tucker's vision to create a live theatre experience similar to the beautiful shop owned by fictional character Mr. Maraczek in She Loves Me, Fares Lahoud - owner of Parfumelle, connected Tucker with real life Maraczek LTD, a wholesale perfume company. Further, the wholesaler proclaimed She Loves Me as their favorite musical! As a result, Parfumelle and Maraczek LTD will provide Runway Theatre two hundred 1oz bottles of a specially-branded She Loves Me perfume available for purchase during the show's run. All sale profits will be utilized by Runway Theatre to offset production costs.

Runway's president, Linda Fullhart says of the partnership, "connecting art and audience is part of the magic of theatre, and that's something we celebrate at Runway. We love how Jenny and her team have made it possible for audience members to immerse themselves in the story while supporting their local theatre and even take a bit of that magic home with them."

She Loves Me, the musical that inspired the film You've Got Mail, is set in a 1930's European perfumery where shop clerks Georg and Amalia clash like peppermint and patchouli. When each responds to a newspaper ad for "lonely hearts," they become swept away in the love letters from their respective anonymous admirers. The musical features music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and a book by Joe Masteroff.

The aforementioned Tucker also serves as scenic designer for the production. Kelly Schaaf music directs with Amy Cave creating choreography. The production team is completed by Julie

About Runway Theatre: The End of the Runway Players (ERP), better known as Runway Theatre, was created in 1983 when a small group of individuals with a variety of backgrounds, but a common goal, established a community theatre in Grapevine, Texas. They mounted their first full season in 1985 and the next year the ERP became a nonprofit organization, establishing the Runway Theatre in its first permanent home on Dooley Street. Eleven years later the theatre was destroyed in a tragic fire. With the community's support, Runway Theatre rebuilt nearby and have since produced hundreds of plays and musicals, recently celebrating its 36th season.
