Rover Dramawerks will present the award-winning World War II drama WRENS by Anne McGravie at their new theatre venue in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances are today, May 15 - June 7, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., plus an additional matinee performance on Saturday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m.

In a cabin in Scotland at the end of World War II, seven women face returning to "civvy" life once the war is over. WRENS features a talented young ensemble of women: Molly Bower, Annika Horne, Ashley Markgraf, Ella Mock, Emily-Ann Moriarty, Kaycee Reininger, and Devon Rose.

Jason Rice serves as director, with Darcy Koss as Stage Manager. Set design is by Patrick O'Neil with lighting design by Catherine M. Luster and sound design by Matthew Edwards. Costumes are by Carol M. Rice, hair and make-up are by Roxi Taylor, and props are by Terrie W. Justus. Yvonne Vautier DeLay serves as dialect coach.

Playwright Anne McGravie will be in attendance from Chicago on Saturday, May 24 for both the 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. performances. A talk-back and reception will follow the matinee.

As a bonus for Rover patrons, two of Ms. McGravie's one-act plays will be presented for Adventure Nights on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10 at 8:00 p.m. and as Late Night offerings on May 23 and 24 at 10:30 p.m. These plays include Bags, directed by Lindsey Humphries and featuring Roxi Taylor, Kim Winnubst, and Emilie DeWolfe, and Alice and Margo, directed by Catherine M. Luster and featuring Sue Birch and Nancy Lamb. Adventure Nights and Late Nights are a suggested $5 donation, and patrons attending WRENS on May 23 and 24 can stay for Bags and Alice and Margo free with their mainstage ticket purchase.

Tickets for WRENS are $16.00 on Thursdays and the one matinee and $20.00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Thursday, May 15 is Preview Night, and all seats are $10.00 in advance online or "pay-what-you-can" at the door.

Tickets for WRENS may be ordered online at www.roverdramawerks.com, and season ticket packages are also still available. For more information, call 972-849-0358.
