Rover Dramawerks is pleased to continue their 15th Anniversary Season with the classic Neil Simon comedy, Come Blow Your Horn. Performances will be at Rover's new theatre in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances are tonight, July 16 - August 8, 2015, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., plus an additional matinee performance on Saturday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m.
Twenty-one year old Buddy Baker (played by Fernando Hernández) has left home and arrives unannounced at the luxurious Manhattan apartment of his older brother, Alan (Juan Perez), a swinging, womanizing bachelor who prefers his carefree life to working in the family business. Alan is only too happy to mentor his brother in the ways of the world, but as Buddy turns into a ladies' man himself, Alan discovers real feelings for Connie (played by Lauren Hearn), one of the many women with whom he is currently seeing and has to rethink his life choices to keep her, while keeping the actress from upstairs (Cory Hutchinson Carter) and his parents (Nancy Lamb and Bill Parr) at bay. This farcical 60s romp was Neil Simon's first Broadway comedy hit!
Misty Baptiste serves as director, with Darcy Koss as Stage Manager. Set design is by Dave Miller, with lighting design by Scott Davis and sound design by Erynn Perry. Costumes are by Katharine Tate, and props are by Abel Casillas.
Tickets for Come Blow Your Horn are $16.00 on Thursdays and the one Saturday matinee and $22.00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Thursday, July 16 is Preview Night, and all seats are $10.00 in advance online or "pay-what-you-can" at the door.
