Rover Dramawerks is set to present the regional premiere of a new thriller: Kill the Moment by Scott Gibson, opening on Thursday, March 8. Performances will be at the Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 H Avenue in Plano (next to the Courtyard Theater), continuing through March 31, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and an additional matinee performance on Saturday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m.
About the show: "Who would you trust? This wry thriller brings four very different people together in a mix of greed, deception, and murder. Gina, a former soap opera star (played Rachel M. Carothers), has retreated to a remote mountain cabin after being acquitted of killing her husband. Trent (played by Young C. Lee) is a stranded motorist she picked up so he can phone for help, but her friend Carol Ann (Sara Wright) is suspicious of his motives. Even before Trent’s friend Gus (J. Kyle Harris) can get there, the twists and turns begin as no one – not even the dead – can be counted on."
Lisa Hale directs with Zoelyn Copeland as Assistant Director/Stage Manager. Cameron Hefty is scenic and lighting designer and Paul McKenzie is costume designer. Robin Coulongue is properties designer and Jason Rice is sound designer.
