Rover Dramawerks is pleased to present the regional premiere of A Murder, A Mystery & A Marriage, with book and lyrics by Aaron Posner and music by James Sugg, opening on Thursday, March 4. Performances will be at the Courtyard Theater, 1509 H Avenue in Plano, continuing through March 20, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and an additional matinee performance on Saturday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m.

Mary (played by Lindsey Schmeltzer) wants to tie the knot with her sweetheart Hugh (Nic Pfost), but if they walk down the aisle, she'll be disinherited. The shocking discovery of a dastardly deed further complicates her choice and may throw her into the arms of a "mysterious stranger" (Joe Cucinotti). Who is the good guy and who is the bad? Will Mary marry the wrong man? Or will love and truth save the day? Only the wit, wisdom, and satirical humor of Mark Twain could answer these questions as this outrageous bluegrass musical unfolds to its just conclusion!

Rounding out the talented ensemble cast are Laura Jennings-Greer, Michael B. Moore, Patrick Persons, and Ben Westfried.

Rover Dramawerks' Artistic Director Carol M. Rice directs, with musical direction by JilIan Brown and choreography by Larry Borero Jansson. Jessica Amspoker is Assistant Director/Stage Manager, and Erica Rémi Lorca is set designer, with Paul McKenzie as costume designer and Robin Coulonge as properties designer. Michael Campbell is lighting designer, and Jason Rice is sound designer.

The live band consists of local musicians from around the Metroplex, including Janet Behning on keyboards, William Buchanan on bass, George Gagliardi on guitar and banjo, Nicolas Flint on guitar, and Dean Raskin on fiddle.

Tickets for A Murder, A Mystery & A Marriage are $15.00 on Thursdays and matinees and $18.00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Thursday, March 4 is Preview Night, and all seats are "pay-what-you-can." Saturday March 6, Rover Dramawerks invites all patrons to a reception after the performance with the cast, director, and designers, as well as Rover board members.
