Set in Argentina between 1934-1952, the Tony-winning musical follows Eva Duarte on her journey from poor illegitimate child to ambitious actress to, as wife of military leader-turned-president Juan Peron, the most powerful woman in Latin America, before her death from cancer at age 33.. The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that the Fran Lebowitz show has been rescheduled. Previously scheduled for two shows on March 31 and April 1, the show was canceled due to a malfunction of the fire suppression system in the Wyly Theatre. Author, journalist and social observer Fran Lebowitz will now appear for one night only at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 1 at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.
