The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today the Off Broadway On Flora 2017 season.

As with the 2016 season, 2017 will feature adventurous, humorous, thought-provoking and challenging touring productions, many of which have enjoyed sold-out success off Broadway and elsewhere.

The Off Broadway On Flora 2017 season begins in March with One Woman Sex and the City on March 18 followed by Robot Planet Rising: An Intergalactic Nemesis Live-Action Graphic Novel March 23-25. In April, the series continues with Wiesenthal April 5-8, presented in association with The Dallas Holocaust Museum, Penny Arcade: Longing Lasts Longer on April 15 and 600 HIGHWAYMEN - The Fever April 25-30. The season culminates with Air Play May 25 - 27, 2017.

"We are very proud of this season's Off Broadway On Flora line-up. With a wide-angle lens, it explores our relationships with ourselves and the community around us in a way that all excellent theatre should." said Doug Curtis, President and CEO of the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

Each production will be staged in the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the downtown Dallas Arts District.

New this year: All season ticket packages are set up in a new flexible format, allowing patrons to choose the exact date and time they prefer to see each of the four shows.

Four-show season ticket packages range from $27 to $60 with the option to order One Woman Sex and the City for $42 to $27 and Penny Arcade: Longing Lasts Longer for $49 to $27. OFF BROADWAY ON FLORA 2017 SEASON:

One Woman Sex and the City

A Parody on Love, Friendship and Shoes

Saturday, March 18 - 8 p.m.

This loving tribute and send-up takes audiences through a laughter-infused version of all six seasons of the beloved show. TJ Dawe - (Director and co-creator of One Man Star Wars Trilogy, One Man Lord of the Rings and PostSecret: The Show) has comedic whirling dervish Kerry Ipema (PostSecret: The Show) bringing all our favorite characters to life as they brunch, banter, argue, support each other and swoon over men and Manolos. There will be puns, cosmopolitans and audience participation. For anyone who remembers the naked dress, the tantric sex demonstration, the post-it note, and "he's just not that into you," One Woman Sex and the City: A Parody on Love, Friendship, and Shoes will provide a great reminder of why this series and its characters have stayed so firmly in women's hearts and minds.

Robot Planet Rising:

An Intergalactic Nemesis Live-Action Graphic Novel

Thursday, March 23 and Friday, March 24- 8 p.m.

Saturday, March 25 - 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The world tour of the cult favorite from Austin, Texas, that's played a limited run on Broadway and sold out the Kennedy Center now has a sequel...

Last season the Center presented a whole new form of theatre, the Live-Action Graphic Novel, with The Intergalactic Nemesis, Target Earth. So it is with extreme pride that we present the sequel: Robot Planet Rising. Here's how it works:

Three actors voice the dozens of characters, a Foley artist creates all the sound effects, and a pianist plays a cinematic score, while more than 1,250 individual full-color hi-res comic book panels tell a hilarious sci-fi adventure story visually from an enormous movie screen. And it's all done live in front of your eyes.

The Intergalactic Nemesis has been featured on NPR, PBS, Conan O'Brien, the Wall Street Journal, and dozens of other outlets.

If you've got an inner 12-year-old (or an actual one living in your home) The Intergalactic Nemesis is one show you don't want to miss.

For the kid in everyone!

Wiesenthal

An Extraordinary Man Who Did Extraordinary Things

Wednesday, April 5 through Saturday, April 8 - 8 p.m.

Filled with hope, humanity and humor, Wiesenthal is the riveting true story of Simon Wiesenthal, an ordinary man who did extraordinary things. Nicknamed the "Jewish James Bond," he devoted his life to bringing more than 1,100 Nazi war criminals to justice. Intelligent, funny, flawed and noble, Wiesenthal was a universal hero. His unbelievable dedication and tenacity over decades is honored in this play, which gives equal weight to his wisdom and wit during his long, purposeful life. Presented in association with The Dallas Holocaust Museum.

Penny Arcade: Longing Lasts Longer

Saturday, April 15 - 8 p.m.

Penny Arcade's "Longing Lasts Longer" is Edinburgh's double award winning show, (Scotsman Fringe First 2015, Herald Angel 2015), from New York's undisputed queen of the underground, which turns contemporary stand-up on its head to create a crack in the post-gentrified landscape. Driven by her magnetic rock n' roll energy, Arcade's razor sharp satire is mixed live to euphoric soundscapes inspired by four decades of pop culture. A blow against the golden age of stupidity, this is a passionate and exuberant performance anthem where you can think, laugh and dance at the same time! Winner of Scotsman Fringe First and a Herald Angel Award at Edinburgh Fringe 2015.

600 HIGHWAYMEN

The Fever

Tuesday, April 25 through Friday, April 28 - 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 - 2 p.m.; 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Note: Funded in part by the New England Foundation for the

Arts' National Theater Project, with lead funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

The Fever, the latest work by 600 HIGHWAYMEN, tests the limits of individual and collective responsibility, and our willingness to be there for one another. Performed in complete collaboration with the audience, The Fever examines how we assemble, organize and care for the bodies around us. Who will you be when our eyes are on you? What will we see when we all look your way?

600 HIGHWAYMEN is the moniker for theater artists Abigail Browde and Michael Silverstone. They create innovative theatrical works which focus on the inherent poignancy and theatricality of people together.

Seven original works since 2009, with presentations in New York in Under The Radar (The Public Theater), Crossing the Line (French Institute Alliance Française), River to River (Lower Manhattan Cultural Council), Abrons Arts Center, The Invisible Dog, University Settlement; Wexner Center for the Arts (Columbus, OH), International Festival of Arts & Ideas (New Haven, CT), FringeArts (Philadelphia, PA), On The Boards (Seattle, WA), Mount Tremper Arts (Mount Tremper, NY), Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center (College Park, MD), Fusebox Festival (Austin, TX); and in Europe, at Centre Pompidou and Parc de la Villette (France), Festival Theaterformen (Germany), Noorderzon Festival (The Netherlands), Zürcher Theater Spektakel (Switzerland), Onassis Cultural Centre (Greece), In BetweenTime International Festival (UK); and in Australia, at OzAsia Festival (Adelaide). 600 HWM received an Obie Award in 2014, Zurich's ZKB Patronage Prize in 2015, and a Bessie Nomination for Outstanding Production of 2015. In 2016, Abigail & Michael were named artist fellows by the New York Foundation for the Arts.

Upcoming in 2017: 600 HWM's adaptation of KASIMIR AND KAROLINE at the 2017 Salzburg Festival.

Air Play

Thursday, May 25 and Friday, May 26 - 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 27 - 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Ride the wind and dream with AIR PLAY, a modern spectacle that brings to life the very air we breathe. Flying umbrellas, larger-than-life balloons, giant kites floating over the audience, and the biggest snow globe you've ever seen will make you gasp in wonder and laugh until it hurts.

AIR PLAY is a circus-style adventure of two siblings journeying through a surreal land of air, transforming the ordinary into objects of uncommon beauty. Fabrics dance in the wind, balloons have a mind of their own, confetti turns into the night sky, and an enormous canopy of hovering silk forever alters their future.

The creation of husband & wife team Seth Bloom and Christina Gelsone, AIR PLAY merges their circus and street theater performance art with the sculptural artistry of Daniel Wurtzel. With visual images seemingly sewn from the sky, this poetic ode to childhood will enchant and electrify the young and young at heart.
