WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director, Joanie Schultz, today announced details for The Great Distance Home conceived and directed by WTT's Associate Artistic Director, Kelsey Leigh Ervi.
The Great Distance Home will return to WaterTower Theatre as the family-friendly "Holiday Extra" from November 23 - December 16, 2018 on the Terry Martin Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. The cast will feature original ensemble members Kelsey Milbourn, Chris Ramirez, Mitchell Stephens, and Garret Storms. Joining the cast and making her WaterTower Theatre debut is Tatiana Lucia Gantt.
The creative team, in addition to Director Kelsey Leigh Ervi, includes Bradley Gray as Scenic Designer, Sam Rushen as Lighting Designer, Hillary Collazo Abbott as Production Stage Manager, and Joe Heike as Assistant Stage Manager.
The Great Distance Home is sponsored, in part, by AMLI. WaterTower Theatre's 2018-2019 Season sponsor is The Town of Addison.
Boy, like most children, has an unyielding imagination. But when the rigidness of growing up begins to stifle it, Boy sets out in search of a home to call his own, and on his way discovers a life that he never expected. Back by popular demand, The Great Distance Home moves to the Main Stage this holiday season, bringing the heartwarming and nearly-wordless story of a young man's journey of discovery to life once more.
