Photo Flash: Meet the 'MOONSHINE' Cast & Creative Team, Beginning Previews Tonight in Dallas!

BroadwayWorld has a first look at the stars and creative team of MOONSHINE: The Hee Haw Musical, the new musical comedy lovingly (and loosely) inspired by the classic TV series. MOONSHINE begins previews for its World Premiere at The Dallas Theater Center tonight, Wednesday, Sept 2, with an official opening night set for September 18, and runs through October 11.

The musical features a score by multi-Award winning artists Brandy Clark (a 2015 Grammy Award nominee for Best New Artist) and Shane McAnally (a two-time Grammy Award-winner), two of today's most critically acclaimed country music singer/songwriters, a book by Robert Horn, direction by Gary Griffin and choreography by Denis Jones. The creative team of Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical also includes Tony Award-winner John Lee Beatty (Set Design), Mara Blumenfeld (Costume Design), Philip Rosenberg (Lighting Design), Tony Award-winner John Shivers (Sound Design), Tara Rubin (Casting), with musical supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Tony and Grammy Award-winner Stephen Oremus.

The World Premiere cast of Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical features Justin Guarini, Rose Hemingway, Ken Clark, Ryah Nixon, Rob Morrison, Kevin Cahoon, and PJ Benjamin, with an ensemble that includes Mackenzie Bell, John Campione, Ken Clark, Travis Coombs, Julie Johnson, Kate McMillian, Harris Milgrim, Rob Morrison, Adam Perry, Aaron Ramey, and Jonalyn Saxer.

Hilarious and downright irreverent, Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical distills the spirit of an iconic television series and bottles it into an original musical comedy. Set in present day Kornfield Kounty, this highly anticipated show introduces a new generation of irresistible characters as it tells the story of Misty Mae, the ultimate hometown girl, who heads out to follow her dreams in the big city of... Tampa. When she returns home to introduce her slick city-boy beau to her friends and family, everything goes haywire!

MOONSHINE: That Hee Haw Musical will be produced by Opry Entertainment (Steve Buchanan, Sally Williams) and Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson), in conjunction with Dallas Theater Center. Nina Lannan serves as Executive Producer.
